The Benton Harbor Area Schools Board is thinking about those employees who gave up part of their salary to help out the district last year. Superintended Dr. Leonard Seawood shared with the board Tuesday night the possibility in giving back a ten percent concession could be possible down the road. Seawood told WSJM News campaigning for more students is the only way to make up the ten percent.
Seawood feels confident that students from outside the district will appreciate what Benton Harbor Area Schools has to offer.
The number of students needed and the dollar amount each student would bring is unknown, but Seawood says campaigning begins now.
