The Berrien County Youth Fair Association's Expo Area project is receiving a gift worth over $100,000 from United Federal Credit Union. $105-thousand is being given to the project to help sponsor one of 18 classroom-skyboxes that will overlook the arena floor for the mezzanine level. The classrooms will range in size, they will be used by young people for fair-sponsored classes, as well as meeting space for non-profits. Public Relations Coordinator with UFCU Sandie Lieberg says giving this money to the Expo Area project was a no-brainer.
When completed, the Expo Area will offer a year-round, climate controlled facility. The building will attract equestrian events, circuses, auto shows, concerts, wedding receptions and proms.
