The Berrien County Democratic Party is set to host all three party units next week for a watch party for President Obama's State of the Union address. It will also serve as the monthly meeting for Berrien County Democrats, Harbor Country Progress and the South County Democratic Club. Berrien County Democratic Party Chairman Bob Miller says they're working to be more unified.
The three Democratic groups will talk about how to engage the county quote, "in an informed and proactive discussion about gun control legislation." The event will be held at the offices of Harbor Country Progress on Red Arrow Highway in Union Pier, starting with a potluck dinner at 6. President Obama will deliver his fifth State of the Union at 9 p.m.
