It was an especially dark Wednesday night and Thursday morning for many residents in South Haven, when roughly two-thirds of the city went without power. Barry Visel with Indiana Michigan Power says I&M is investigating a static wire that broke and halted power to the city.
The location of the broken wire wasn't known by Visel. Power went out at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday and wasn't fully functioning until 5:00 a.m. Thursday. Some schools had to be canceled because of the outage.
