By the fall of 2014 roughly 200-students could be living on Lake Michigan College's Napier Avenue campus. The LMC board unanimously supported the idea Tuesday night. Construction would begin next winter, an estimated cost of a housing facility is $6.5-million. LMC President Dr. Robert Harrison says the move helps connect the college to local high school graduates.
The board is approving the formation of a nonprofit corporation to own and operate the housing project, the nonprofit will also over see the financing.
