Southwestern Michigan College is coming to the rescue for students who are unsure of what their career path should be. For any freshman that is undecided, SMC has created Education 120, a class that provides direction for the student's future. The class was tested last fall with a group of 205-students, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at SMC Dr. Diane Chaddock says it drew overwhelmingly positive feedback.
The course dissects what students are interested in, then uses that information to pick their classes and career goals. Education 120 is required for all undecided freshman, but also anyone who may want to take it as an elective for extra help.
