A site to house aeration equipment along Paw Paw Lake is being considered by the Watervliet Township Board. On Monday night, the board discussed a piece of property owned by the township along the lake to have a shed build to store up to four compressors to serve 25-aerators for oxygen circulation in the water. Township Trustee and President of the Paw Paw Lake Association Joe Stepich says the oxygen will help cut-down future weed growth.
Stepich says the system will aerate up to 40-percent of the lake. At it's February meeting the township will consider approving the plan for the proposed site to house the equipment.
