Blowing snow and slick roads will effect the commute home this evening. Managing Director for the Berrien County Road Commission Wayne Schoonover says just because there isn't much accumulation on the roads doesn't mean you shouldn't be cautious.
Sand and salt mixtures are being used to handle icy conditions. Schoonover says the roads are still fairly warm after the temperatures we have experienced the last few weeks. A top layer of ice will form on the roads before any snow accumulation happens, so stay cautious.
