Have you gotten your flu shot yet? The Center for Outpatient Services wants to help you and your co-workers keep the flu bug out of the workplace. Normally the flu strikes our area in late January, early February. With this year's season starting much sooner, more people are coming down with the illness. Resident Nurse and member of Employer Services with Lakeland Care Melissa Schultz says there are more people sick with flu than in recent years.
To help with prevention, employers are encouraged to send an associate to an upcoming flu shot clinic.
The clinic will cover basic info on how to have a flu shot worksite set up for employees. The flu shot clinic takes place this Thursday at Center for Outpatient Services, 3900 Hollywood Road in St. Joseph from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
