Lest We Forget will be holding their 2013 World War Two re-enactment in May this year instead of June. Organizer Don Alsbro says they will be doing everything in 2013 at the Southwest Michigan Regional Airport and won't do a beach landing as was the case in 2012.
The re-enactment and sixth tribute to veterans is set for May 17-19. For the first time, Lest We Forget will also hold a Vietnam War re-enactment on Saturday using two Huey helicopters and other military vehicles. The weekend's events will start on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. with beach landing crafts at Tiscornia Beach, with a cost of $10 per ride and free for World War Two vets. A parade is set for that evening from 4:30 to 7 through Benton Harbor and St. Joseph.
