The American Red Cross and the YMCA of Niles are looking out for you this winter. The YMCA will host a Community Winter Preparedness Day on Monday, January 21st. Disaster Services Associate and Americorps Member of the American Red Cross Amber Redmond says they'll be covering a wide array topics.
Afterward, a presentation on Hurricane Sandy relief efforts will take place. Redmond and another colleague will give first hand background on what happened and how things are progressing on the east coast. The event is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
