The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is holding a webinar on the Palisades nuclear plant this weekend. NRC spokeswoman Viktoria Mitlyng says the last webinar on the plant was held during the day, and they've moved it to a Saturday to try to get more participants.
The web broadcast will focus on the past through-wall leaks at the Covert Township facility. Mitlyng stresses there are no current issues, and the NRC has been pleased with the progress made by the nuclear plant in fixing issues over the past year.
