The economy has claimed Watervliet's ice festival, but St. Joseph is good to go for what's being called this year the Magical Ice Festival. St. Joseph Today executive director Jill Stone says it's set for February 8-10 and will include some new events this year.
There will be four carvers taking part in the ice wars, which will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, February 9th. Other highlights include the Fire & Ice Reception at Shadowland Ballroom on Friday night, February 8th from 8 p.m. to midnight, the "Snow Biz Scavenger Hunt" all three days and "Waikiki Weekend" at the Silver Beach Carousel and Shadowland Ballroom, during which hula dance demonstrations will be given.
