The city of Buchanan is gearing up for the second annual running of its "Thrill on the Hill" later this month. The event which turns Front street into a sledding hill will be held Friday, January 25th and Saturday the 26th. This year will feature a new starting ramp at the stop of the hill for sledders. Also an adults only "Midnight Run" will take place Friday night at 11:00 p.m. continuing through 1:00 a.m. Saturday. City Manager Bill Marx says snow will be harvested from parking lots to cover the roadway.
Organizations and businesses are planning activities, "Thriller Specials," and coupons to event participants. To be apart of the sledding action, a wristband must be prepurchased at City Hall during business hours. The cost is five-dollars for Friday night and three-dollars for Saturday.
