Crash Caused by Sleeping at the Wheel

A Three Rivers woman is recovering from injuries sustained from falling asleep at the wheel and crashing into a pole Saturday evening. Cass County Sheriff's Deputies reported to US-12 and Vera Drive in Porter Township where 40-year old Ginnie Wallace and her two children, ages nine and seven were in their vehicle which was off the road. Wallace was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment, the two children were released and taken by family members. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and seat belts were used.
