The Ice Festival is Being Put On Ice

The Ice Festival in Watervliet is a no-go this winter. The Business Association, which sponsors both the winter event along with the summer Independence Day Celebration, has decided not to hold the 22nd annual Ice Festival due to budget constraints. Association Chairwoman Melanie Marvin tells the "Herald-Palladium" there are only enough funds to cover the Independence Day Celebration this year. The Association is intent on bringing the festival back, maybe as soon as next year.
