Jon Hinkleman Elected Chair Of Berrien County Board

Jon Hinkleman is the new chairman of the Berrien County Board of Commissioners. He was elected Thursday morning by his colleagues to serve in that role for this current term, which began this week. Hinkleman replaces Dave Pagel, who will represent southern Berrien County in the state House for the next two years when the state Legislature convenes next Wednesday. Marletta Seats of Benton Harbor was elected the vice-chair of the county board. Commissioners spent Thursday getting an orientation from Berrien County department heads and touring county facilities.
