Covert Senior Lifeline is getting the word out to citizens regarding phone scams. The Senior Brigade which is in partnership with the Attorney General's office, works proactively to protect Michigan's most vulnerable citizens, they'll host a seminar January 13th to educate seniors and their caregivers about how to handle all sorts of scams. Covert Senior Lifeline Program Director Roma Dodd says a familiar story has circulated throughout the area to scam seniors.
The program will cover how to handle or report phone scams, unwanted phone calls, junk mail and email spam. The seminar is scheduled for Thursday, January 13th at Covert Senior Lifeline, all are welcome to attend.
