A routine traffic stop has landed a Lawrence woman in jail. Friday night, at the Marathon gas station on Saint Joseph Street in the Village of Lawrence, Van Buren County Sheriff's Deputies stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver, a 41-year old female from Lawrence, had a suspended license, she was arrested. Deputies searched the vehicle finding an open container of alcohol and a clear two liter bottle with white substance inside. Narcotics Detectives determined this was an active meth lab vessel. Other meth making material were found, the Lawrence women was lodged in the Van Buren County jail, her name is being withheld pending arraignment.
