New Medication Drop Box

A new drop box system is allowing Berrien County residents a chance to dispose of unwanted or expired prescription medication. The Berrien County Sheriff's Department in conjunction with the Health Department has established a permanent pharmaceutical medication drop box in the lobby of the Sheriff's Department in St. Joseph. Only pharmaceutical medications may be disposed, no illicit narcotics like marijuana, heroin or cocaine. Same goes for needles, sharps or syringes. Citizens can drop off their unwanted or expired medications any time Monday through Friday from 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. except Holidays.
