Ohio Man Jailed For Alleged Armed Robbery Of BP Station

An Ohio man is jailed on armed robbery charges after allegedly holding up the BP station on Niles Road at I-94 Saturday night. He got away with 95 dollars from the gas station and was caught about four minutes later at the intersectoin of Niles and Napier, outside another BP station. Police were able to seize the cash stolen along with the knife that was used in the robbery. Michigan State Police and St. Joseph Township police found the suspect about four minutes after the 9-1-1 call had been placed, and they were assisted by officers from the cities of Benton Harbor and St. Joseph and the Berrien County Sheriff's Department. The suspect's name has not been released.
