A man is facing armed robbery, fleeing and eluding and possession of a controlled substance charges after a robbery at the Rite Aid pharmacy in Buchanan. Police say it happened around noon today when a white male demanded morphine pills from the pharmacist. That pharmacist noticed the suspect had a knife, gave him the pills and notified police, who arrived before he was out of the store. The suspect got around the responding cop and led officers on a chase before crashing at Mead Road and East River. No names have been released as yet. The suspect will be lodged in the Berrien County Jail after being checked out at the hospital.
