An electronics recycling drive last week in St. Joseph turned out to be big enough to do again on January 16. Julee Laurent of Silver Beach Hotel says the turnout was better than they had expected.
The most popular items recycled were the old standard definition television sets as people continue to make the transition to flat screen high-definition sets. Laurent says the South West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum will work with the hotel on the next event, which has been scheduled for after Christmas to give people the opportunity to recycle items they're replacing over the holiday season.
