Eastside Connections School in Niles is the latest site to house a student credit union. Honor Credit Union is currently partnering with 17 student credit unions in Southwest Michigan, each one a division of Honor. A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony took place earlier this week. Communications and Public Relations Manager for Honor Credit Union Charlotte Smith says the program is set up to teach students how to save and grow their money.
Anyone that is allowed into the school on a day to day basis is able to participate in the program. This is set up for savings, and withdrawals cannot be made unless you are at a physical Honor Credit Union branch.
