The man believed to have killed a couple from Niles may have memory problems and be vulnerable to blackouts. Last month, 28-year old Keith James Lintz was charged in the February 2010 murder of John and Carolyn Tarwacki near Niles and a Cass County judge has decided to put things on hold while Lintz is examined to see if he's mentally competent to stand trial. Defense Attorney Greg Feldman says at times Lintz has problems with simple communication, like speaking. The prosecution is demanding the exam happen in a timely manner, but the judge is not making any guarantees.
