The Benton Harbor Area Schools Board is welcoming a new member, while ushering out its current president. Joseph Taylor will rejoin the board, but president Anthony Jett will not. Two seats were up for grabs this week in a four person race. Also elected was Lisa Gulley. Along with Jett, Pastor Willie Lark failed to get enough votes to join the school board. Gulley finished with 5,658 votes, trailed by Taylor who gained 3,547 votes. Gulley credits her volunteers for the victory and said they've been with her since last August. Final results did not emerge until late Wednesday due to the county computer problems.
