Computer Problems Plague Berrien County Election Results

Here it is Wednesday morning, and we do not have the results of the races in Berrien County from yesterday. Computer problems at the Berrien County Clerk's office are to blame, with their computer failing and all the ballots having to be hand delivered from all corners of the county overnight to be counted in St. Joseph. At last count, state Representative Al Pscholka had a solid lead over Democratic challenger Jim Hahn in the 79th District, but just 11 of 35 precincts had been counted. In the 78th House District, Republican Dave Pagel leads Democrat Jack Arbanas, but there are still 16 of 27 precincts to count.
