One of the most controversial figures from the 2008 presidential election will be speaking in Benton Harbor next weekend. Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright, who became famous for this soundbite taken from a sermon and played over and over again by cable news networks, most notably Fox News, will speak November 10.
Ed Pinkney is bringing in Wright for a speech at the Crystal Star Square Entertainment and Conference Center in Benton Harbor, and the city commission passed a resolution supporting the man who was once President Obama's pastor at last night's meeting. Mayor James Hightower had a caveat in his vote.
The cost to hear Wright's speech on November 10 is $50 per person, payable to Pinkney's BANCO organization.
