Semi Finalists Named For Berrien County Road Commission Director

Five semi-finalists have been identified in the search for a new managing director of the Berrien County Road Commission. St. Joseph City Manager Frank Walsh headed up the search, and says they had a "very strong field of candidates." The final five are current interim director Derek Perry; Wayne Schoonover of the Ionia County Road Commission; Joseph Michalsky of the Jackson County Road Commission; Gerald Peterson of the Manistee County Road Commission and Village of Kingsley village manager Adam Umbrasas. They are vying to replace Rhonda Hildebrand, who exited earlier this fall following accusations of a hostile work enviroment by more than a dozen non-union employees. Two other managers and three members of the Berrien County Road Commission also lost their positions in the fallout.
