Berrien County Jail Healthcare Being Privatized

Healthcare at the Berrien County Jail is going to a private firm at the start of the year. The County Board of Commissioners has approved a contract with Correctional Healthcare Companies, which also services the Allegan and Ottawa County jails. Berrien County Undersheriff Chuck Heit says it will free up police.
