Veterans Day will be something special for Lest We Forget. They will hold their annual tribute concert at Lake Michigan College's Mendel Center starting at 2 p.m. on November 11. Don Alsbro is the organization's president and told WSJM's Brenda Layne they're looking to honor World War Two veterans in the area.
The Southshore Concert Band will perform a two-hour performance of patriotic music. Excerpts of General Douglas MacArthur's final address to West Point graduates in 1962 will also be read by West Point graduate Hank Richmond. Speeches from Presidents Lincoln, Washington, and Kennedy will also be read. Tickets are ten dollars for adults and free for anyone under 17.
