LMC Women's Hoops Ranked 2nd To Start Season

The women's basketball team at Lake Michigan College is starting this season ranked higher than they've ever been in the preseason. The Red Hawks sit at Number 2 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division Two pre-season poll. Coach and LMC athletic director Jason Cooper says they have three starters back from the team that lost in the NJCAA National Championship game last season, and is returning five players overall. Last year's squad won 30 games and lost 5. They will start the season Saturday afternoon at home against 11th-ranked Lake Land College, with a 1 p.m. tip off.
