Congressman Huizenga Joines CEOs In Demanding Financial Overhaul



Chief executives of more than 80 firms, including Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Boeing posted a letter on the “Wall Street Journal” website, pressuring lawmakers to enact a plan to fix the nation's debt through tax reform and spending cuts. Congressman Bill Huizenga of Zeeland says the criticism by the business leaders is dead-on, and more needs to be done.

Congress faces a December 31st deadline to put in place a deficit reduction deal and do something on the Bush-era tax cuts, or those will end. Economists warn that will drive the country back into recession and call it the "fiscal cliff" that both political parties say must be avoided.
