Gas prices are sharply lower since the start of this month, with some saying it could bode well for President Obama's re-election. Congressman Fred Upton says the prices aren't related to politics and there are more traditional reasons why we're paying less in late October than in late September.
Since September 23, Triple-A Michigan says the average gas price in the state has fallen from $3.91 per gallon to $3.49, with a smaller decline in the St. Joseph and Benton Harbor areas from $3.84 a month ago to $3.47 now.
