Newspaper Carrier Attacked By Dogs

Charges could be coming for the owner of two pit bulls in Covert Township that attacked a woman delivering the "South Haven Tribune" over the weekend. The "Herald Palladium" reports Abel Rodriguez was arrested on outstanding warrants, and the dogs are now locked up at Van Buren County Animal Control. Kimber Valentine says one dog bit her as she was putting the newspaper in a tube, while the other chewed the tires of her vehicle, flattening two of them. She was not seriously hurt and was treated and released from South Haven Health System.
