Kids in our area can have two opportunities to trick-or-treat. Halloween is next week, but before that, St. Joseph Today is hosting it's annual "Great Halloween Spectacle" on Friday. Executive Director Jill Stone says it starts at 5 p.m. with free rides at the Silver Beach Carousel, followed by businesses handing out treats from 5:30 to 6:30.
Last year, Stone says about 16-hundred kids took part. As for parking, which may be at a premium, Stone recommends parking at the Silver Beach Carousel or looking for something in the lots downtown if you can find an open spot along with the perimeter around the downtown business district. There will also be the third-annual dog dress up contest in front of FuzzyButz starting at 7 p.m.
