Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Crashing Into Coloma Cop Car



More details have been released in the motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon in Coloma. 26-year-old James Meisner of Kalamazoo crashed his motorcycle into a Coloma Police car after exiting I-94 at Exit 39 just before 3 p.m. The Coloma officer was on his way to assist Michigan State Police as they were chasing the bike, with the chase hitting speeds over 130 miles an hour on the highway. Meisner was airlifted to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, while the officer whose car he hit was taken to Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. There's no official word yet on Meisner's condition. A statement from the Michigan State Police post in Niles says the crash is still under investigation.
