St Joseph Commission Approves Second Street Changes



Emotions ran high during most of the St. Joseph City Commission meeting as residents and commissioners debated changes to Second Street. City Manager Frank Walsh tells WSJM the issue is over how to change the street to best suit the needs of a man who wants to build a new home there and still keep the street available for people to use the beach.

Residents are upset by plans to build curbs, gutters and sidewalks, arguing that will take away at least a dozen spots for people to park to use the beach. City Commissioner Jeff Richards sided with them and was the only commissioner to vote against the changes.
