KitchenAid Addresses Tweet



KitchenAid is addressing the situation in which a staff member posted an insentive comment on Twitter about President Obama's late grandmother during Wednesday night's presidential debate. Senior director of marketing Christine Soledad tells WSJM News she has issued multiple apologies on Twitter and explained what happened.

Soledad says the person who sent the tweet will no longer be posting on the company's behalf. She and Whirlpool executives would not go into details on the personnel matter beyond that. Soledad issued an apology to President Obama shortly after the offending tweet was posted. The post in question was quickly deleted, but not before it was seen by several thousand people.
