LMC Adding Men's And Women's Soccer

Lake Michigan College will be offering seven competitive sports starting in the 2013-14 academic year. Soccer is being added at that point for both men and women, with the teams playing 22 games against community colleges and the junior varsity teams from four-year colleges. The soccer season will run from August to mid-November and then start again in early February through late April. The squads will be based on the Napier Avenue Campus, and work will start this spring to make the current soccer field ready for competition and to build a practice field. Scholarships will also be available.
