Your income tax rate has fallen ever so slightly today. The rate fell from 4.35% to 4.25% and state House Speaker Jase Bolger says it's a big change from the state needing to make huge spending cuts.
The personal exemption has also increased from $3,700 to $3,950. The state is starting its 2013 fiscal year today, and doing so with a balanced budget.
