Pscholka Praises Infrastructure Funding Plan

A State House committee has approved legislation that will release over 600 million dollars in bond funds that were raised to pay for infrastructure projects around Michigan. The package of legislation to pass committee this week will set up a system to allow for local communities to apply for grants and low interest loans to pay for water and sewer projects. Pscholka says that this isn't new money being spent; it's already there, just sitting in the state's accounts. Governor Rick Snyder has expressed support for releasing the funds. This legislation now goes on to the full House.
