Decatur Teen Clocked At 104 MPH In Paw Paw

A Decatur teenager is facing several charges including drunk driving after being arrested by the Van Buren County Sheriff's Department in Paw Paw. Police say 18-year-old Fernando Solis was clocked driving 104 miles an hour on Red Arrow Highway Tuesday evening and did not cooperate with officers when he finally stopped. A fifth of cognac was found in the vehicle that was roughly two-thirds gone. A search warrant was obtained to take the teen's blood to check for how drunk he was, but those figures have not been released. In addition to the drunk driving charge, Solis is also charged with fleeing and eluding and being a minor in possession of alcohol.
