Congressman Fred Upton is used to being interviewed, but he was recently nabbed by the celebrity gossip TV show TMZ before Congress adjourned. The St. Joseph Republican was asked by the paparazzi cameraman about his famous supermodel neice, Kate.
TMZ went on to ask Upton if he is ever thanked or congratulated for Whirlpool being the first company to give employees paid vacations. He said it's one of the things that makes the Benton Harbor-based appliance maker a "great company." TMZ called Upton a "true American hero" for being both a member of Congress and Kate Upton's uncle.
