Phase Three of a four phase street project is about to begin in Berrien Springs. Village President Milt Richter tells us that they're working to improve six or seven streets in the next several months:
He says that the overall four phase project will cost about two point one million dollars, and a grant of 651 thousand from the USDA's Rural Development program is helping with that. The rest will be paid back over 40 years. Construction on the next batch of local streets could start next month.
