Destiny Coulson is headed to prison for up to 16 years for killing her 21-year-old boyfriend in January. The 17-year-old pled guilty today to second degree murder and had faced up to life behind bars. Prosecutors dropped a charge of felony firearm as part of the plea agreement. She gunned down David Quinn, Jr. outside of their home near Eau Claire after a night of drinking and arguing. Coulson was charged as an adult in the case despite being 16 when she pulled the trigger because she had been living on her own with Quinn, was nearly 17 at the time and had dropped out of school in eighth grade. She will be sentenced on October 8.
