A man is recovering after he was hit by an SUV on Friday in Berrien County. The sheriffs department says that, around seven-40 in the morning, the man’s car broke down on Hollywood Road, north of Rocky Weed. He went walking south, and that’s when an orange or copper SUV struck him. The SUV sped off, and now police are looking for its driver. The victim, Robert O’Connor, was taken to Lakeland Hospital by ambulance, and his injuries appeared to be non life threatening. Anyone with information on the driver of the SUV is asked to call the Berrien County Sheriffs Department.
