Lake Michigan College this year is seeing a slight decrease in enrollment. President Doctor Bob Harris says that's because funding for worker retraining has all but dried up recently. He was expected a drop of about two percent in student enrollment this year, and that's what's happened:
Harrison says that there are still some options available for laid off workers to get training, so such individuals might want to contact LMC about what they might be. Overall, Harrison says that the enrollment decrease at LMC this year is similar to what's happened at many other community colleges around Michigan.
