It has been nearly three months since more than a dozen non-union Berrien County Road Commission employees outlined 20 allegations of mismanagement and a hostile work environment. Road commission foreman Don Geisler told the Berrien County Board of Commissioners that they are starting to lose patience waiting for something to be done.
County Board Chairman Dave Pagel agreed that the road commission board needs to do something very soon.
An independent investigation into the claims has been completed and given to the road commission board. They have discussed it at meetings over the past two weeks, but have not done anything yet and Pagel is sending a letter asking for an update to be given to the county board within the next week.
