Somebody won the big Powerball lottery jackpot on Wednesday right here in Michigan. That lucky person bought the ticket in Lapper, and although the Michigan Lotter doesn't know yet who it is, spokesperson Andi Brancato says that individual has some time before stepping forward. In fact, lottery officials advise whoever it is to do some research first:
Brancato says that the winner will get 224 point seven million dollars if he or she picks the lump sum option. The overall jackpot was 336 point nine million. The odds of winning -- about 170 million to one. None of the second tier, million dollar winners were sold in this state. The next jackpot -- on Saturday -- will be 40 million.
